COLLABORATIVE DESIGN

  • Learn customer’s goals, ideas, color preferences and budget
  • Expand on ideas; create sketches

PREP WORK

  • Stripping, blasting, machine blasting
  • Body work—dent and scratch removal

PRIMING

  • Pressure blowing (3 times)
  • Solvent wipes (3 times)
  • Tack
  • Acid etching to prevent rust
  • Spray 3-5 coats of primer
  • Cross-draft spray booth with precise control of pressure, lighting, and temperature
  • Environment free of contaminants

BAKING

  • Heat the booth to cure the primer
    Careful time and temperature control

WET SANDING

  • All surfaces cured and wet-sanded
  • Blow and inspect all surfaces
    Hand detailing to insure mirror-smooth surfaces

SEALING

  • Blow, double tack and wipe surfaces with solvents
  • Spray sealer at proper temperature
  • Clean environment for spraying
  • High-quality sealer

GROUND COAT BASE

  • Spray 3 coats of ground coat base
  • Bake for 2 hours at 130 degrees
  • Temperature control
  • High-quality base

BASE COAT

  • Sand the ground coast base
  • Make your custom paint color(s)
  • Prep (blow, solvent wipe, double tack)
  • Spray base coat
  • Ultra-premium paints (House of Kolor and PPG)
  • Expert mixing for precise color control
  • Monitor temperature and ventilation

ARTWORK

  • Create design layouts by hand on each part
  • Airbrush, kandy spray (at least 8 coats), or blends
  • Use of computerized graphics, stencils, plotters
  • Airbrush selection

1st CLEAR COAT

  • Prep (blow, solvent wipe, double tack)
  • Apply clear coat and bake
  • Cure and wet sand to glass-smooth finish with no paint edges between colors
  • Monitor temperature and ventilation

  • Prep (blow, solvent wipe, double tack)
  • Apply clear adhesive promoter
